ONE WORD REVIEW: DISAPPOINTING

After the success of the first series, it is unsurprising that Ricky Gervais desired to continue with the show and create a second season. However, it was unclear how the show could continue considering the ending of the first season. Therefore, the second series is very similar to the first; Tony (Ricky Gervais) is still suicidal after the death of his first wife, and still looks at the world pessimistically, although a bit more positively in this second season. It is still outrageously funny, but just not as good due to the lack of originality compared to the first season. It must be questioned why there is a need for a second season, particularly when the third is on its way. Yet, the series is still enjoyable, and a must-see if you have already seen the first series.
