ONE WORD REVIEW: OMG
How did this not win Best Adapted Screenplay at the 89th Academy Awards? Please, please watch this movie. Eric Heisserer’s screenplay is so unique, engaging, and impressive, making director Denis Villeneuve’s job much more manageable. After an alien invasion, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner are hired to communicate with them and learn of their intentions. Their acting is superb, unlike any of their other performances, and truly inspiring. The cinematography increases the tension, as does the soundtrack. A thought-provoking narrative, exploring the extraordinary topic of life outside of our Earth, which seems more and more likely with what 2020 has had in store!
