ONE WORLD REVIEW: RUBBISH

Unexperienced, homeless orphan Dwight Evans (Macon Blair) seeks revenge for the death of his parents. For a film that has received 96% on RottenTomatoes, frankly I was surprised to be so bored throughout. While the acting is quite impressive, and the concept of the movie feels like it has potential, the overall production is extraordinarily disappointing. There are moments which are supposed to be humorous, that aren’t, and the violence within the film is excruciating due to the principal character’s lack of skill. The story seems never-ending, and so unbelievable, yet involves some really quite uninteresting, and therefore relatively every day, characters. A film simply unworthy of the hype.
