ONE WORD REVIEW: ENGROSSING

Over the first lockdown, David Tennant invited some of his famous colleagues and friends to do a podcast with him; simple as that. He discusses parts of their personal and work lives, making those interviewed extremely comfortable, probably due to the fact they all seemed to know him well before. In the first season, he interviews famous names such as Olivia Colman and Ian McKellen, and in the second season, Tim Minchin and Judi Dench, to name a few. Almost every episode is enchanting, and truly shows how each podcast should be. However, there are some times when the interview feels a bit flat, and the interviewee seems to always want to ask David Tennant the same questions he asks them. While this is nice, it sometimes feels like they feel slightly awkward about being interviewed by a friend. That said, most episodes are really enjoyable, and give a real insight into the creative industry.
