ONE WORD REVIEW: SAD

A kind of film which offers what you expect, an engaging storyline of a young married man with a son seeking revenge for his family, set in Ancient Rome, showcasing the famous historical elements such as ‘Gladiator’ fighting in the colosseum, and the slave trade. The brutality is done amazingly realistically, and Crowe’s acting is nothing but superb, making audiences sympathise with his struggles, and want him to be successful. The cinematography is not incredible, as one would anticipate for an Oscar nominated and awarded movie. However, it is simply a must-see, iconic of its time, and an entertaining watch.
