5/5 ONE WORD REVIEW: ORIGINAL A group of Jewish men take revenge on the Nazis by scalping their soldiers in an attempt to end the war. At the same time, in classic Quentin Tarantino style, a young Jewish girl seeks to avenge the Nazi’s murder of her family. With brilliantly executed, terribly tense scenes, Tarantino’s fictional plot is amazingly engaging. Although Brad Pitt’s portrayal as the leader of these ‘Basterds’ is impressive, Christoph Waltz’s performance as the evil Hans Landa steals the show. His Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role is thoroughly deserved, as he offers the performance of his career. Overall, it truly is one of the most ‘glorious’ productions of our time.
