ONE WORD REVIEW: ADORABLE

An unexpected friendship forms between tetraplegic Philippe (François Cluzet) and his carer Driss (Omar Sy), who come from entirely different backgrounds, and therefore have many differences, including their love of music, art and women. A feel-good movie, exploring ideas around class and friendship in an innovative way. Starting at the end, the film is entertaining, with marvellous acting by the principal characters, and an engaging plot. The ending satisfies, however, there are weaker moments that disappoint, such as sudden bursts of emotion from the characters which feel unjustified.
