ONE WORD REVIEW: SUBSTANDARD
Another Netflix documentary, filmed in the exact same way as all of the others, but just not as well-done. The documentary tells the story of Jeffrey Epstein’s disgusting history of sexual abuse and harassment towards minors. The opening of the documentary series, although terrible, does not draw audiences in, and the direction and cuts seem to detract from the power of the victim’s words. Furthermore, in some scenes, the editing of the series and order of information, makes the victim’s words seem more cryptic than brave. It’s just such a shame that such a powerful, terrible story of abuse, couldn’t have been produced better, or had a bigger budget, to be more effective. I think that reading Epstein’s Wikipedia page would be more informative and eye-opening than spending four hours watching this series.
