ONE WORD REVIEW: FABULOUS

Todd Phillip’s ‘Joker’ offers a fabulous interpretation of the well-known Batman character, telling the story of how the low-life Arthur Fleck turned into a famous villain. For a two-hour film, it is disappointing that some scenes feel a bit dragged on. However, the screenplay is enhanced by Joaquin Phoenix’s performance, which is nothing less than perfect. His sympathetic portrayal enables audiences to understand, to a certain extent, what provoked the wannabe comedian to commit such terrifying crimes.
