ONE WORD REVIEW: COMPELLING

The true story of women who made the seats for Ford, and on being named unskilled labourers, fight the legal battle of the gender pay gap. The expectations of women at the time are explored through the response to their strike, and their personal relationships. Rita, played by Sally Hawkins leads the legal battle, encouraging her colleagues from all around the world to join her on strike. The acting is incredible, with well-known actors, such as Bob Hoskins, Miranda Richardson, and Rosamund Pike. Unfortunately, some parts of the story are less engaging and slightly cringe-worthy, and therefore the movie slightly drags on.
