ONE WORD REVIEW: SOPPY

Peter Cattaneo's film offers viewers precisely what they were expecting, and I presume, hoping for; a soppy movie with elements of raw truth and aspects of courage. Provoking many tears throughout, the duo of Kristen Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan provides much of the comedy, with superb acting, showing the raw emotions of those whose husbands are at war. For women in such a terrible situation, their narrative is full of hope, and it is difficult to finish the film without a smile on your face. A film which mainly surrounds women building each other up, rather than bringing each other down, it is fitting for any age group.
