ONE WORD REVIEW: SWEET

The story of John Lennon and how he met Paul and George. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, with her husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing Lennon himself marvellously. With the photos of Lennon mainly being of his hippy stage, it is interesting to discover his past that is unknown to the majority. Unfortunately, it is an average film. It is easy to find comparisons between this film’s screenplay and the Richard Curtis rom-coms – very enjoyable, but not exactly an amazing piece of cinema. A light, fascinating film, and a very pleasurable watch.
