ONE WORD REVIEW: BORING
Kiera Knightly’s performance, although impressive, is the only exciting part of this film. She plays Katharine Gun, who was famously accused of copying an email outlining the US and Britain’s plan to blackmail the UN Security Council into voting for the Iraq war. The narrative of this film is not that engaging. It feels like a slight waste of time to watch the movie when the ending is commonly known and is not that interesting. At the end of the day, Gun’s actions, although heroic, have little to no effect. Therefore, the majority of the film focusses on Gun’s private life, and how she personally dealt with the situation. Not for me, personally.
