Se7en (1995)

4/5 ONE WORD REVIEW: SHARP A terrifying thriller. Two detectives (Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt) investigate a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) who brutally murders victims associated with the seven deadly sins (pride, envy, gluttony, greed, lust, sloth, and wrath.) The murder scenes are horrific and add to the intense build-up towards the final scene, which is simply marvellous. Pitt and Freeman are in their prime in this film, despite there being some introductory scenes that don’t quite fit the plot. Spacey plays a cunning villain, and his vivid character development is intense. Quite the movie.
