ONE WORD REVIEW: FANTASTIC
The true story of how one Boston newspaper uncovered the Catholic Church’s dark history of abuse, and a community who shielded those responsible. An incredible cast of Rachel McAdams, Mark Ruffalo and Michael Keaton, who shine in their presentations of a mixture of religious and non-religious American citizens, keen to cease the systematic abuse of so many children. Their narrative is remarkable and amazingly directed by Tom McCarthy, winning ‘Best Film’ at the Oscars in 2015. The statistics shown at the end of the film, and the stories presented by victims and priests are shocking. ‘Spotlight’ contains a story that has to be told, and is performed in an authentic, raw, and impressive manner.
