ONE WORD REVIEW: ADMIRABLE

A TV show created and filmed in lockdown was never going to be fantastic, but that doesn’t mean that the cast and crew should not be admired for their attempt. Michael Sheen and David Tennant lead the rest of the cast, playing a more extreme version of themselves, while ‘trying to rehearse for a play which has been cancelled due to the Corona Virus’. It is admirable that each of the actors, including famous international figures such as Samuel L. Jackson, are willing to take the mick out of themselves. Furthermore, the majority of the humour surrounds the difficulty of Zoom calls, which audiences can genuinely relate to after this prolonged period of a lack of social contact. The relationships between each of the characters are brilliant. A delightful watch, but it is understandable why each episode is only fifteen minutes long, as it does seem like a problematic venture from the production team.
