ONE WORD REVIEW: WEIRD

Hank, played by Paul Dano, is about to hang himself when he sees a corpse, played by Daniel Radcliffe, washed up on the beach. He then treats the corpse like his own friend. The audience is offered an insight into Hank’s mind, as he believes that the body, now known to him as Manny, can speak, and even have emotions. Therefore, the film is an exploration of mental health and is very moving. The two men, one alive and one not so much, try to find their way back to civilisation, motivating each other to do so. This film is like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. Personally, I love it and would recommend it to anyone. The cinematography is beautiful, and the narrative is hilarious.
