ONE WORD REVIEW: SUSPENSEFUL

Jam-packed full of twists in the storyline, and set in the beautiful city of Brooklyn, New York, ‘The Drop’ explores gang crime, and crooks in an innovative way. Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) works with his cousin Marv (James Gandolfini) in a bar that used by the Chechen Mafia as a ‘drop’ for their dirty money on some evenings. Although there is violence, none of it is too horrific to watch, and the narrative itself remains the most essential element of the movie. Audiences will be gripped from start to finish, as director Michaël R. Roskam explores a world unbeknown to the majority of viewers, and makes it feel so real and terrifying.
