ONE WORD REVIEW: DIFFERENT
Wes Anderson’s use of colour is incredible, in this slightly bizarre film, where the narrative is told in such a simple, and yet abstract way. Focussing on the false murder accusation that the Grand Budapest Hotel’s concierge, Gustav H (Ralph Feinnes), who has befriended a young lobby boy, Zero. The story is told through the ‘author’ (Jude Law) and the present day Zero. The film is absolutely captivating, and a brilliant lesson on how film can be used in a totally innovative way. However, it must be said that not everyone can enjoy such a new way of storytelling, unfortunately. Despite these differing opinions, ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ is a must-see, and Wes Anderson is one of the most amazing directors of our time.
