5/5
ONE WORD REVIEW: SURPRISING
Dedicated to Pete Davidson’s father, who died while serving as a firefighter in the 9/11 terrorist attack, this semi-autobiographical film is impressive. It follows the life of Scott, a man in his twenties who still lives at home in Staten Island, is a drug addict, and a wannabe tattoo artist. The dialogue is not only hilarious but also very realistic. The characters are all so likeable that a movie with a rather unhappy concept is actually so enjoyable. Pete Davidson and all of the other actors are astounding, but Judd Apatow’s remarkable direction steals the show. Just such a funny movie, sure to cheer up anyone.
