ONE WORD REVIEW: BAD
The Madness of George III is just quite dull and not very well-done. It seems like any other performance of the play, without any innovative features making it any different, or worth the watch. With of the time costumes and few script adaptations, the performance is just not that interesting. Furthermore, it goes on for two long hours. The script itself is amusing, but at times it is awkward because there seem to be some jokes that just aren’t funny, yet the actors still pause for audience laughter. This becomes very tedious. Sherlock’s Mark Gatiss is good at evoking sympathy among audiences for the treatment of King George III, but his overall performance needs some work.
