ONE WORD REVIEW: IMAGINATIVE

In the Prologue, narrator Richard admits that he and his bizarre Classics friends at Hampden College murdered one of their friends. From there, readers gain knowledge of how this came about. So brilliantly written and gripping from the outset. Having foreshadowed the events of the book, Tartt invites readers to imagine what elements of the novel will be significant throughout, creating so much suspense it is infuriating. The long descriptive passages are so skilfully written, despite occasionally being too long for their own good. A massive book of approximately 630 pages, which will have readers begging for the conclusion, which is so incredible it is well worth the wait.
