ONE WORD REVIEW: REVEALING

The Social Network tells the story of how Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) created ‘Facebook,’ and the controversy that followed. Although the film makes audiences more sympathetic towards Zuckerberg, Aaron Sorkin’s screenplay certainly does not shy away from presenting Zuckerberg’s somewhat difficult personality. David Fincher’s direction is fabulous, as always, shifting the focus to different strong personalities, and therefore maintaining audience engagement in this non-fictional tale of such an influential app in our society. The main message seems to be that where there is fame, success, and most importantly for the characters in this film, money, there are numerous complications. For this moral, the film should forever be commended.
