ONE WORD REVIEW: GUT-WRENCHING
Based on the true story of five black juveniles falsely accused of committing a rape, this miniseries is heart-breaking. The pain of those accused and their families becomes the audience’s pain, in this depressing, deeply upsetting, but most importantly, necessary miniseries. The experienced director, Ava Duverney, creates another masterpiece, which is so well-filmed, well-acted, well-written, and overall, just brilliantly done. It is so difficult not to be raging with anger at the end of each of the four one-hour episodes, where the American Justice System failed each and every one of these boys and their families.
